Young Picasso of the Philippines Worth Lodriga is taking on another persona as the first-ever Asian ambassador of Cartoon Network and is set to inspire more kids around the world to make a difference through art.
The 12-year-old Filipino child prodigy who has made waves for winning international art competitions continues to represent the Philippines on the global stage as he joins Cartoon Network Asia’s campaign called “Redraw Your World”.
Lodriga earlier said in a Good News Pilipinas interview that he was excited to inspire others and represent the Philippines globally as an ambassador of the “Redraw Your World” campaign.
The young painter is featured on the popular kids’ channel’s campaign that aims to encourage young people to express themselves, discover their talents, and create change in the world.
The campaign recently featured Lodriga as the “Young Picasso” of the Philippines in a feature uploaded on Cartoon Network Asia’s YouTube channel.
In the interview, the award-winning Filipino visual artist said he would redraw the world and make a difference through art by sharing his knowledge and skills with others.
Lodriga is a young artist, consistent honor student, student leader, varsity player, and school magazine artist from La Salle Greenhills and is the country’s first Child Youth Ambassador.
Aside from being an accomplished painter at a young age, Lodriga is also a loving son and dedicates his favorite painting to his mother, Architect Wendy Lodriga, called “Pagmamahal Ng Isang Ina” (A Mother’s Love) in the interview.
Lodriga said he had always dreamed of becoming an architect like his mother so he could “contribute to designing residentials and institutions, and be able to redraw this world we live in through art.”
As a proud Pinoy artist, Lodriga has created a painting series on Filipino Culture.
