ARC (short for Archipelago) Botanical Gin is earning raves as the first Filipino gin drink to mix 28 plants, fruits, and flowers including pomelo, dalandan, and sampaguita.
The Laguna-based Full Circle Craft Distillers Co.’s flagship drink in July bagged the Gold at the prestigious 2019 Spirit Awards, besting 977 spirits and mixers in the annual competition of the best craft spirits from around the world.
ARC Botanical Gin also earned recognition in June from the Bar Awards as one of the top 5 Asian Gin Makers to Watch in 2019, within months of its introduction.
The Filipino gin drink boasts of mostly 100% local ingredients with 22 out of the 28 listed ingredients from the provinces:
- fresh mango from Pangasinan
- pomelo from Davao
- dalandan from Quezon
- Benguet pine buds from Sagada
Additional ingredients are calamansi, dayap, lemongrass, star anise, black pepper, sampaguita, ilang-ilang, and kamias.
ARC Botanical Gin is handcrafted in small batches at a state-of-the-art craft distillery in Calamba, Laguna along the banks of the San Juan River in the foothills of Mt. Makiling.
