Game of Thrones (GOT) actor Miltos Yerolemou sent a video salute all the way from the United Kingdom to Pinoy frontliners at The Medical City, saying, “Bayani po kayong lahat”.

In a video message uploaded by The Medical City on April 10, 202, Yerolemou, known for playing Arya Stark’s mentor Syrio Forel in GOT, narrated the experience of his friend’s father who was under the care of health workers in the Philippines.

“His family told me of the care your team gave him and the brave work that you do for all your patients each and every day,

“You face fatigue, shortages in supplies and a very real risk of infection. They want you to know that you, all of you, are their heroes. They also asked me to tell you to keep safe, rest well, and to take care,” Yerolemou said

“Huwag po kayong susuko. Bayani po kayong lahat. Maraming, maraming salamat po,” the British actor also said in Tagalog.

(Do not give up. You are all heroes. Thank you very very much)

He highlighted his gratitude to the seven doctors and their support staff who cared for his friend’s father.

“And remember, there is only one thing we say to the god of death — not today,” the actor said, reciting his character’s line to Arya Stark.

“Stay strong, stay safe, and thank you for everything that you did”.

The Washington Post also featured Pinoy health workers at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) who are in the frontlines of the Philippines’ battle against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
