It’s confirmed. The new venue of the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF), earlier teased as South of Manila, is in Carmona, Cavite.

The balloon best, traditionally held in Clark, Pampanga, is set to take off as the “Flying Carnival 2020” at San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona.

PIHABF announced the new venue of the longest-running sports aviation event in Asia on January 8, 2020, five days after it announced its return to the Philippine skies after a one-year hiatus in 2019.

The San Lorenzo Leisure Park is a 77-hectare mixed-use, world-class development at Carmona, Cavite. It is the home to the prestigious Manila Jockey Club, the premier horse racing club in the country and one of the oldest in the Asia Pacific region, first established in 1867 in Sta. Cruz, Manila until it transferred its operations in 2003 to the South and opened the San Lazaro Leisure Park.

The “Flying Carnival 2020: A Weekend of Almost Everything that Flies” is described as a 3-day spectacle of hot air balloons, helicopters, and air sports events, combined with aviation career seminars, fly markets, food booths, and family entertainment. Events begin at 5:30 AM until 9:30 PM.

Tickets for the 23rd Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta ticket rates will be available this coming week on Ticketnet and the PIHABF website priced as follows:

  • Economy Class tickets (General Admission) at Php 500/person/day
  • Business Class ticket at Php 3,500 per person/day
  • First Class tickets at Php 6,500 per person/day

Tickets are also available on the event day at the Fiesta Info Booth Gates and ticketing booths which will open by 4:00 a.m.

VIP, Seminar, and Discovery Flight tickets will also soon be available on the PIHABF website.

The province of Cavite is also the home of the Paghilom Art Camp and Festival that champions artist empowerment.

The Cavite-Manila ferry service began in December to offer faster travel time via the waters of Manila Bay.

SEND cheers to the hot air balloon fest enthusiasts and host Cavite for the upcoming Flying Carnival 2020!
