Cebu, Quezon City public schools to represent the Philippines at World Adolescent Robotics Competition 2020

Three public schools are set to represent the Philippines in the 2020 World Robotics competition. Credits to FELTA MultiMedia.

Three public schools located in Cebu and Quezon City have won the right to represent the Philippines at the 2020 World Adolescent Robotics Competition (WARC).

Ibo Elementary School in Cebu, Lagro High School in Quezon City, and Batasan Hills National High School won first place in their respective divisions at the 2nd Philippine Robotics EXCEL Olympiad for Department of Education (Dep Ed) schools organized by FELTA MultiMedia.

The three public schools bested schools from all over the country in competitions held on October 11 at the Activity Area, Fisher Mall in Quezon City.

FELTA MultiMedia President and Chief Executive Officer Mylene Abiva announced that the winning schools will be supported with free registration and accommodations as they represent the country at the 2020 World Adolescent Robotics Competition.

Skills in robotics are developed in competitions organized by FELTA MultiMedia. Credits to Mylene Abiva of FELTA.

The winning schools:

* 1st place Elementary Division – Ibo Elementary School (DepEd Lapu Lapu City, Cebu)
* 1st Place Junior High School Division – Lagro High School (DepEd Quezon City)
* Senior High School Awardee – Batasan Hills National High School will pilot the FELTAduino

The Philippines’ public schools have been winning international robotics competitions such as at the 2019 World Adolescent Robot Competition in China and the LEGO Robotics Festival in Romania.
