K-pop’s Weki Meki praised the energy of Pinoy fans in Manila after their September show and expressed their wish to try Filipino food and visit the country’s travel spots.
The South Korean girl group composed of Choi Yoo-jung, Elly, Ji Soo-yeon, Kim Do-yeon, Lua, Lucy, Rina, and Sei, thanked their fans after their performance at the Klook event in Pasay City on September 7. It is the second time here for Weki Meki who also performed in the Philippines in 2018.
“The crowd has always been like this. Now that we’re back, you guys are even wilder,” the K-pop girls said after the show.
“The energy of Filipino fans is out of this world,” the girls said through an interpreter.
Weki Meki members also said they wanted to taste Filipino food such as adobo, sinigang, and kare-kare.
The K-pop stars revealed their wish to visit Cebu in Central Philippines, saying, “We want to go scuba diving, and we want to see Kawasan Falls”.
Koreans are among the top 5 foreign travelers who have brought record numbers of tourists in the Philippines.
