The Clash Grand Champion Jeremiah Tiangco paid tribute to the Filipino COVID-19 frontliners win an original composition titled, “Saludo.”

The GMA Kapuso singer and The Clash 2019 winner released his new song on his Facebook account and dedicated it to the frontliners fighting the battle against the coronavirus disease, and to all Filipinos in general.

“To all Filipino and Frontliners out there!” the Cavite-born singer wrote on his Facebook post that came with the “Saludo” music video. “Sama-Sama nating malalampasan ito. ‘Saludo’ Ako sa inyo!”

The Saludo music video also featured various photos of frontliners from the medical sector and military forces on duty to protect the country’s citizens.

The 22-year-old talent show winner also expressed optimism, unity and hope in his lyrics while giving his salute to the frontliners for doing their job. He also saluted ordinary citizens for doing their part to stop the spread of the COVID-19.

Here are the lyrics of Jeremiah Tiangco’s original song “Saludo”:

SALUDO

Pagsikat ng araw
Panibagong simula
Tayo ay babangon
Manalig sa kanya
Sa unos na ito
Kapit-bisig tayo
Malalampasan din natin ito

Bagyo ma’y dumating
Sama-sama nating haharapin
Tayo ay magkapitbisig
Sabay sabay sabihing

Ikaw at ako
Sama-sama tayo
Hanggang sa dulo
Lalaban tayo
Walang susuko
Pagkat nandoon sa dulo ang bahaghari at
Lilipas din ito
Ako’y saludo sa iyo

Sa unos na ito
Kapit-bisig tayo
Malalampasan din natin ito
Bagyo ma’y dumating
Sama-sama nating haharapin
Tayo ay magkapitbisig
Sabay sabay sabihing

Ikaw at ako
Sama-sama tayo
Hanggang sa dulo
Lalaban tayo
Walang susuko
Pagkat nandoon sa dulo ang bahaghari at
Lilipas din ito
Ako’y saludo sa iyo

Other Filipino artists also used their talent to invoke optimism, good vibes, and to raise funds to aid the frontliners and people affected by the on-going community quarantine.

Jeremiah’s fellow Kapuso artist, Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose gave inspiration to people quarantined in their homes through her acapella rendition of “Stand By Me.”

It’s Showtime regular host Vice Ganda reiterated the importance of washing and sanitizing hands to avoid getting COVID-19 infection in his upbeat song “Corona Ba-Bye Na!”

ABS-CBN Kapamilya singer Gary Valenciano had a fresh take on his original song “Take Me Out of The Dark” as his prayer amidst the global health and economic crisis.

Popular indie folk-pop Filipino band Ben&Ben raised nearly Php 5 million to be used for COVID-19 response in their second online concert following its successful Facebook Live Concert Fundraiser.
