AirAsia Philippines is preparing for a surge in travelers as Filipinos head home to vote in the May 12, 2025, national and local elections.
The airline expects increased passenger traffic across its major hubs in Manila, Cebu, Aklan, Tacloban, Palawan, and Iloilo. To handle the travel rush, AirAsia’s Ground Operations and Customer Happiness teams are on full standby to assist passengers and ensure smooth airport operations.
“AirAsia Philippines is proud to help bring many Filipinos home to fulfill their civic duty. Our teams across our major hubs… are ready to serve so guests can focus on exercising their patriotic responsibility,” said AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, First Officer Steve Dailisan. “We also encourage our guests to plan ahead, monitor their flight schedules, and ensure timely arrival for voting day in their provinces.”
To avoid delays, travelers are reminded to be #AlwaysREADY Ngayong Eleksyon 2025 by arriving at least 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights.
Passengers will also benefit from stable fares this month, with the Civil Aeronautics Board keeping the fuel surcharge at Level 4 for May.
Plan your trip now and travel smart this Election 2025 season.
