The Spyros Bros yoyo act stole the spotlight on America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 15 auditions with their gravity-defying juggling and acrobatics.
The brothers Marco Angelo and Marc Albert from the Philippines were seen on AGT on June 16, 2020 (U.S. Time), showcasing their Diabolo yoyo act that featured skilled juggling and choreography with acrobatics.
Marco Angelo introduced their act saying they were from Queens, New York, and the Philippines. He said it was a long-time dream come true to be on the AGT stage – 10 years in fact. In a video prior to the performance, he also showcased his knowledge of the show’s winners, enumerating all of them in one go.
The Spyros Bros audition merited standing ovations from the judges and the live audience.
“I love everything about you. I’ve never seen somebody more excited just to be here, and that makes us excited. We feel like we’re at the best, biggest party on Earth. And you guys were incredibly entertaining,” judge Howie Mandel said.
“I loved it. I’ve never seen anything like this. The way that you were like with this energy. That was amazing. I really enjoyed this,” judge Sofia Vergara added.
“I’ve never seen a reaction like that before you’ve had the comments. It was incredible,” said judge Simon Cowell, noting the live audience reaction to the act.
Mendel then had all three judges giving their yes votes at the same time, allowing the Spyros Bros to move on to the next round of the talent show with the USD 1 million prize pot.
The Spyros Bros are professional entertainers who bagged the 2013 Grand Champion title of Talentadong Pinoy Worldwide, TV5’s TV talent show, and the 2015 First Grand Champion of It’s Showtime, ABS-CBN’s noontime talent show.
The Spyros Bros’ memorable audition on AGT follows the feat of multiple-singing-voiced Marcelito Pomoy who became an AGT sensation, went on to the finals, and finished 4th on the show’s previous season.
