Filipino-Iranian actor Anthony Keyvan has joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix spinoff series inspired by the popular “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” film franchise and best-selling book series, XO, Kitty.

Netflix officially announced Keyvan’s casting as a series regular of the new show which has begun production in Seoul, South Korea.

The Fil-Iranian actor portrays Q and will star opposite lead actress Anna Cathcart who reprises her role as Kitty in Netflix’s “To All the Boys” spinoff series.

Keyvan, who was born to an Iranian father and Filipino mother, currently stars in Hulu’s “Love, Victor” series and is known for his roles in ABC’s “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” and “Twisted,” among others.

New cast members joining the show also include actors Choi Min-yeong, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Peter Thurnwald, Regan Aliyah, Yunjin Kim, Michael K Lee, and Jocelyn Shelfo.

The new series, XO, Kitty, is a spinoff inspired by the popular film franchise “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and the New York Times best-selling book series by Jenny Han.

In the upcoming series, teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey (Cathcart) thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she’ll soon realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line.

The series comes from co-showrunners and executive producers Han and Sascha Rothchild. Netflix has announced that Jennifer Arnold, Jeff Chan, Pamela Romanowsky, and Katina Medina Mora are set to direct this season in the cast announcement on April 5, 2022.

Filipino-American actors Kimee Balmilero, Tess Paras, Jason Rogel, and Kaden Alejandro have joined the cast of “Josep”, a new sitcom starring Hollywood comedian Jo Koy as a nurse.
