Arrowhead Robotics’ teams 32881X and 32881G are set to represent the Philippines at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship happening in Dallas, Texas, from May 6 to 14, 2025.
This year’s Philippine teams are not just aiming to compete—they’re determined to reclaim their place among the world’s best. Arrowhead Robotics has a strong legacy on the global stage. The team made history in 2020 as the first and only Filipino team to win the VEX Robotics World Skills Championship. In 2023, team members Gian Nicolas Q. Casimiro, Jose Antonio S. Hernandez, and Enrique Alonso M. Pioquinto achieved a World No. 3 ranking. All three return in 2025 with renewed focus to surpass their previous standing after missing a podium finish in 2024.
Remarkably, 15-year-old Casimiro is competing in both the High School and Middle School divisions this year, showing his commitment and exceptional skill.
The 2025 edition of the global event, presented by the REC Foundation, will take place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. It gathers the world’s top robotics teams from the VEX IQ, VEX V5, and VEX U Robotics Competitions to compete for international titles.
Team 32881X earned its place in the world championship after winning the Tournament Championship, Robot Skills Champion, and the Design Award in the VEX Robotics V5 High School Division during the Philippine National Finals in December 2024. Team 32881G qualified after winning the Excellence Award, Teamwork Challenge Championship, and Robot Skills 2nd Place in the VEX IQ Middle School Division.

- Jose Antonio S. Hernandez (17) – De La Salle Santiago Zobel School
- Enrique Alonso M. Pioquinto (16) – De La Salle University Senior High School
- Shawn G. Abuan (17) – Makati Science High School
- Sandrinne Christina E. Pacifico (16) – Makati Science High School
