The Philippines shines once more with seven major nominations at the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA) 2025, and Filipinos along with global travelers who love the country are urged to vote and help secure the victories.

Voting is open until August 31. Since announcing the nominations in April, the Department of Tourism (DOT) has been actively campaigning and urging public support to help the country retain its titles among Asia’s top travel destinations.
The Philippines is nominated to defend its awards in the following categories:
- Asia’s Leading Beach Destination
- Asia’s Leading Dive Destination
- Asia’s Leading Island Destination
Top tourist favorites are also in the running for major honors:
- Boracay as Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination
- Intramuros as Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction
- Cebu as Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination
The Department of Tourism itself is nominated as Asia’s Leading Tourist Board.
