Adela Mae Marshall has battled through eight rounds of Asia’s Next Top Model (ASNTM) Cycle 6 and emerged in the final 3 top models.

The Filipina model now has a chance to defend the title won by fellow Filipina Maureen Wroblewitz in 2017, the first Filipina to be hailed Asia’s Next Top Model.

Marshall competed as one of the final 5 in this week’s ASNTM and captured a spot in the top 3 during the Subaru car modeling episode.

Marshall posted on social media about her getting into the top 3. The model who has a Filipino-British parentage wrote in Filipino and English of her happiness at bringing the Philippines into the final 3 ASNTM.

“…ang aking mga kakumpetensya ay parehong magaling pero ang pangako ko ay subukan ang aking pinakamahusay upang lumaban para sa back-to-back win.

…because both of my competitors were really strong but I will try my best to secure a back-to-back win for the Philippines,” the Filipina ASNTM finalist wrote on her Instagram.

The ASNTM website introduces Marshall as getting into the competition “After charming her homeland on Philippines’ Next Top Model.

Adela is ready to chase her dreams of international recognition; bringing not only beauty but also all-around skills in swimming and music. Her serious demeanor can come across as snobbish, but just talk to her and see how she brings a room to life.”

In her YouTube video introduction, Marshall describes herself as “kind of dorky” and not having much of a social life. She sees the ASNTM as an opportunity to show the world her capabilities.

Marshall went into the ASNTM Cycle 6 together with 13 other candidates including fellow Filipina Jachin Manere who was eliminated in the 6th episode.

The 6th edition of ASNTM is filmed in Bangkok, Thailand with Cindy Bishop and Yu Tsai as panel judges.

The winner of this year’s ASNTM will drive home a Subaru XV, a cover and fashion spread in Harper’s Bazaar Thailand, a featured avatar in the new America’s Next Top Model Mobile Game, and a modeling contract with Storm Model Management in London.
