Three Filipina Miss Universe beauty queens, Janine Togonon, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray, made the country proud as they shined in the 2019 New York Fashion Week catwalk on September 7.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach slayed on the runway wearing a light blue gown created by Albert Andrada, the same Filipino designer who also made her iconic cobalt blue gown when she competed and won the pageant in Las Vegas.

Wurtzbach, who recently started her vlogs on YouTube, walked in the finale for MODA Haute Couture show and congratulated the world-renowned Filipino designer for proudly carrying the Philippine flag in New York Fashion Week.

“What a pleasure it was to wear your creation again, @albertandrada!, Congratulations on a successful show at #NYFW. He also designed my cobalt blue evening gown for Miss Universe,” the Filipino-German beauty posted on her social media.

Reigning Miss Universe and positivity advocate Catriona Gray earned worldwide attention as she attended the Sherri Hill fashion show together with Miss 2019 USA Cheslie Kryst and Miss Teen USA 2019 Kaleigh Garris.

It was in September 2018 when Catriona was invited to be one of the models of the same designer months before she bagged the Miss Universe crown in Thailand.

In the same event, Miss Universe 2012 First Runner-up Janine Togonon surprised the spectators and Filipino fans when she showed up and strutted on the runway for Sherri Hill wearing the pink beaded gown.

In her social media, the beauty queen and model expressed her gratitude for the wonderful experience and for meeting the reigning Miss Universe in the event.

“Great memories last night. Thank you @sherrihill and to the amazing glam team! Also, fangirling mode. So great to see you there @catriona_gray !! And met @halima !! Much love!!” the Pinay beauty said.

Janine also proudly posted her photo with Catriona Gray on her Instagram story and shared what she did just to have their photo taken.

The 2019 New York Fashion Week also showcased Ifugao fabrics from the Kandama Collective of the Philippines.
