The Filipino television series “The Broken Marriage Vow”, an adaptation of the British series Doctor Foster, has won the Content Asia Awards.

The Broken Marriage Vow award for the Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted) in Asia was personally accepted by the actress Jodi Sta Maria and producer Kylie Manalo-Balagtas.

Sta Maria was also Nominated as Best Female Lead in a TV Program for the same series.

The Broken Marriage Vow, directed by Connie Macatuno and Andoy Ranay, aired from January to June 2022 on the Kapamilya Channel. Sta Maria starred in the drama series along with Sue Ramirez, Zaijian Jaranilla, and Zanjoe Marudo.

Aside from Jodi Sta Maria and The Broken Marriage Vow, the Content Asia Awards 2022 also recognized the following Filipino productions:

  • My Papa Pi was nominated for Best Asian Comedy Show. The comedy series stars Piolo Pascual and was aired on the Kapamilya Channel.
  • Gensan Punch, directed by Brillante Mendoza, was nominated for Best Asian Feature or Telemovie.
  • On The Job, directed by Erik Matti, was nominated for Best Asian Feature or Telemovie.
  • John Arcilla, the star of On the Job, was nominated for Best Male Lead in a TV Program.
  • Alberto “Treb” Monteras II won Best Director of a Scripted TV Program for “Still”.

In 2020, the inaugural Content Asia Awards awarded Erik Matti as Best Director of a Scripted TV Program for “Island of Dreams” while Angeli Bayani received a nomination as Best Actress for the same show.
