Crawford and Hautot won the prestigious trophy after receiving 53.5% of the public’s votes for their final performance on November 12, 2022, at Studio 217.

“I don’t believe it, it’s a dream for me,” a tearful Crawford said upon being declared grand winner.

Billy Crawford took to Instagram on November 15 to show his gratitude as he recalled his journey toward the championship. “It’s been a few days since we won @dals_tf (Danse avec les Stars)1 but from the bottom of my heart thank you again @fauvehautot (Fauve Hautot) for your patience and your amazing talent. I am forever grateful to have worked with someone as dope as you! To all my co contestants since day 1 I love you guys and thank you for always being there to make things smoother than usual.”

Crawford also thanked his supporters as he received congratulatory messages from his fellow contestants, Filipino artists, and fans. He made special note of Filipinos who waited for news about his performances despite the time difference between France and the Philippines.

“To my country 🇵🇭 who tries to follow updates on what’s going on even if it’s super early in the am. Thank you all for this experience as it will be forever imprinted in my heart. In the end, Hard work really does pay off!”

Crawford’s wife Coleen Garcia announced the victory on Instagram. “Words cannot express how PROUD I am of you, my love! Not just for WINNING this difficult competition, but for growing into the person you have become: a kind, humble man who works hard, dreams big for his family, shoots for the stars and makes sure to lift as many people up with him along the way.”

Billy Crawford is a former child star who is now best known for his talent in hosting, singing, and dancing. Some of the milestones in his career include being a backup dancer for his idol, Michael Jackson, at the MTV Video Music Awards held in September 1995 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York and enrolling at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City which has produced a long list of well-known alumni, including Britney Spears and Alicia Keys.

Billy Crawford more recently released the song “Filipina Girl” featuring Marcus Davis Jr. and James Reid in a collaboration that pays homage to their Filipina partners and all Filipino women.
