The Philippine Women’s National Football Team displayed its power on the field as it trounced Macau in its first FIFA Friendly match in years.

The Filipino athletes won against the visiting team from Macau, 11-0, in the game held on August 3 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

The national team goals were delivered by Quinley Quezada (6 and 31 mins.), Alesa Dai Dolino (11 min.), Camille Rodriguez (34 min.), Alisha Del Campo (44, 48, 49 and 89 mins.), Patrice Impelido (57 min.), Long (68 min. penalty), and Mea Bernal (74 min.).

The national women’s football team, which scored the biggest jump in the FIFA World Rankings after a terrific performance in the Olympic Qualifiers this year in Doha, Qatar, played the game as part of preparations for the 2019 AFF Women’s Championship to be held from August 15 to 27 in Thailand.

The Philippine Women’s National Football Team is also receiving training mentorship from James Younghusband, of the AFC Asian Cup finalist Philippine Azkals, to prepare for the 30th Southeast Asian Games later this year.
