The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) made history with its first-ever concert tour in the United Kingdom, earning rave reviews and standing ovations at all nine prestigious venues.
Led by Maestro Grzegorz Nowak, the PPO performed a powerful repertoire of classical masterpieces and a new work by Filipino composer Jeffrey Ching. The tour featured celebrated guest soloists: violinist and concertmaster Diomedes Saraza Jr., cellist Wenn Sing-Yang, and pianist Mark Bebbington.
The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) presented the PPO UK Tour in partnership with Okada Manila and IMG Artists, with special support from the Office of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri. The National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Metropolitan Theater also contributed to the tour’s success.
CCP also extended its gratitude to major sponsors including Rustan Commercial Corporation, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Society Inc., and Emirates. Supporting partners included the Johann Strauss Society of the Philippines, Sapatero Manila, Rhett Eala, Tie Line, Event Styling by Neve, and Flowerstyle PH.
