Philippine Science High School (PSHS/Pisay) students again displayed excellence against other nations, securing 9 medals at the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) 2023 Final Round Online this year.

The Pisay scholars were awarded 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze during the virtual ceremony held October 1, following the virtual showdown last August that pitted the young Filipinos against competitors from 15 nations including Australia and Singapore.

The scholars navigated through five key subjects to secure their medals: Logical Thinking, Arithmetic, Algebra, Number Theory, and Geometry and Combinatorics. The HKIMO conducts national heats to scout the best mathematical talents for its global finals.

PSHS – Main Campus announced the students’ harvest of medals in a Facebook post after the virtual awards.
