Filipino creator Quiccs Maiquez was named the Designer Toy Awards (DTA) Artist of the Year for the third successive year during awarding ceremonies held at the Five Points Festival in New York.
Quiccs was announced the winner of the Public Fan-Voted Artist of the Year for 2020, making him a 3-peat winner of the same award that he won in 2019 and 2018.
Maiquez was also a finalist of the International Panel-Voted Artist of the Year in the same years but has yet to win the jury nod for the award category which recognizes an artist who designed and/or produced a variety of outstanding new releases for the year as well as garnering a strong base of followers and a steady demand for new material.
Quiccs Maiquez was named the winner besting 11 other finalists for the Artist of the Year Award at the 2020 edition of the annual DTAs hosted by Clutter Magazine at the Five Points Festival held a year later on October 30, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
Quiccs went on social media to dedicate the win to his collaborators.
