Marcelito Pomoy captured the world’s attention as he competed on America’s Got Talent: Champions.

Marcelito Pomoy took America – and the world – by storm as he competed on America’s Got Talent: Champions (AGTC) edition with his dual-voiced singing of famous duets and flawlessly switching between soprano and tenor.

The 2011 Pilipinas Got Talent champion was called to the original hit talent show stage of America’s Got Talent to compete as one of the 40 best acts from among the Got Talent franchises around the world and delivered amazing performances one after another.

Marcelito Pomoy’s AGTC performance videos have all hit #1 on YouTube Trending videos, raking in millions of views for the show’s channel.

Marcelito Pomoy first stunned the world as he performed a cover of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli’s “The Prayer” on January 13, 2020, causing the four AGTC judges and full house audience to give him a standing ovation.

On that AGTC episode, Pomoy recounted how competing and winning the Pilipinas Got Talent paved the way for him to reunite with his parents whom he lost contact with as a young boy who lived off the streets. The Superfans voted Pomoy into the semifinals.

The YouTube video of Pomoy’s cover of “The Prayer” has reached nearly 24 million views.

Marcelito Pomoy’s second performance in the AGTC semifinals on February 3 had the Filipino singer singing another Andrea Bocelli classic, this time in a duet with Sarah Brightman.

“Con Te Partirò (Time To Say Goodbye)” had the judges again gushing over Pomoy’s talent, prompting judge Howie Mendel to declare that the Filipino had the best chance to win the show title. Marcelito Pomoy was sent to the grand finals as the Top 3 pick of the Superfans’ votes.

The YouTube video has since picked up nearly 12 million views.

Marcelito Pomoy’s AGTC Grand Finals performance was actually released early on social media the day before the actual show was aired on American television on February 10 evening (February 11 morning Philippine Time).

Pomoy sang a cover of the Disney classic “Beauty and the Beast” originally recorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. Pomoy again did not disappoint, hitting the high notes for both the soprano and tenor voices of the fairy tale duet.

The YouTube video of Marcelito Pomoy’s Grand Finals performance has picked up nearly 6 million views as of this writing and has already hit #1 on YouTube Trending Videos.
