Hotel101 has made history as the first Filipino-owned company to be listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange in the United States—marking a groundbreaking moment for Philippine business.

Hotel101 Global celebrated its public listing on Nasdaq by ringing the Opening Bell in New York during its July 1 trading debut under the ticker symbol HBNB. The listing followed the completion of a business combination with JVSPAC Acquisition Corp., a Nasdaq-listed SPAC.

This global feat positions a proudly Filipino brand among the world’s top publicly traded companies and elevates the visibility of Philippine innovation on Wall Street.

Hotel101 leaders celebrate their debut listing on the NASDAQ:

Hotel101 Global is owned by Hotel101 Global Pte. Ltd., headquartered in Singapore and operated under DoubleDragon Corporation. It is co-founded by two of the most iconic names in Philippine business—Edgar “Injap” Sia II and Tony Tan Caktiong. Their shared legacy includes transforming Mang Inasal and Jollibee from humble beginnings into iconic brands.

The company has set its sights on a bold goal: to become one of the top five largest hotel brands in the world by 2050, targeting 1 million rooms in over 100 countries. This vision includes expansion in the United States, Japan, Spain, UAE, Thailand, and Australia.

Hotel101’s unique business model combines real estate and hospitality. Its “condotel” concept offers standardized, tech-enabled rooms designed for scale, and allows investors—including overseas Filipinos—to earn passive income while the company operates the units like hotel rooms.

CEO Hannah Yulo-Luccini, speaking at the Nasdaq ceremony, described the listing as: “a testament to the unwavering spirit and dedication of our [Hotel 101] team,” and “a bold step towards building a global legacy.”

WATCH as Hotel101 rings the opening bell on NASDAQ NYC:

She honored the founders, saying: “Today, we carry the pride of our nation and showcase the warmth, excellence, and heart of Filipino hospitality to the world. This moment is for every Filipino who dreams big.”

She added tribute to Sia and Caktiong,“whose vision, grit and relentless passion have carried us to this extraordinary stage.”

Chairman Edgar “Injap” Sia II declared in a Hotel 101 report: “This is a historic moment for DoubleDragon, becoming the first-ever Filipino company with a subsidiary listed and traded on the Nasdaq. It reflects the strength of our vision and the dedication of everyone who has helped bring Hotel101 to this global stage. And we’re just getting started – with a globally scalable model and a long runway ahead, we aim to redefine the industry and become a leading global hospitality brand working towards our vision of an inventory of 1 million Hotel101 rooms globally.”

For everyday Filipinos—especially overseas workers and aspiring entrepreneurs—this Nasdaq listing opens doors. It allows Hotel101 to raise capital from the U.S. market, accelerate global expansion, and carry the Filipino brand into 25 priority markets. Its unique “condotel” model also enables unit owners to earn while contributing to the company’s long-term growth.

From Iloilo to Wall Street, from ChickenJoy to Condotels—this is a Filipino dream going global.
