Veteran journalist Rico Hizon has earned his latest international award, his first for ABS-CBN News Channel’s program Beyond the Exchange, marking another milestone in his celebrated broadcast career.

The show was named Current Affairs – Philippines winner at the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Awards 2025, an event that honors innovation and excellence in broadcasting across the region. Hizon received the award in Singapore on May 28.

Hizon, who previously received awards for his work with CNN Philippines and BBC News, now adds this new honor for his current affairs program on ANC.

ABS-CBN also brought home multiple accolades from both international and local award-giving bodies. It was named Best TV Station at the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Awards, while Noli De Castro and Karen Davila won Best Radio News Anchor (Male) and Best TV News Anchor (Female), respectively.
