The Philippines’ teen tennis champion Alexandra “Alex” Eala wrapped up her strong performance at the US Open Junior Tennis Championships reaching the Top 4 teams of the Girls’ Doubles.

The 16-year-old Alex Eala and 17-year-old Hanne Vandewinkel of Belgium partnered in their US Open Juniors semifinal match on September 10 (September 11 PST) against USA’s Elvina Kaileva and Reese Brantmeier, 7-5, 2-6, 7-10.

The No. 6 seed Filipino-Belgian tandem earlier defeated another American pair, Elizabeth Colema and Madison Sieg, in the quarterfinal match, 6-1, 6-7, 10-7, to reach the semifinals.

The World No. 2 ranking Filipino netter also earlier wrapped up her Girls’ Singles run in the final 8 quarterfinals after bowing out to Swiss champion Sebastianna Scilipot.
