AKO SI NINOY

The biographical film chronicles the life and tragic death of the Philippines’ former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Simeon Aquino Jr., the man whose passing sparked the national movement to finally oust the Marcos dictatorship during the People Power Revolution of February 1986.

“Ako si Ninoy” is director Vince Tanada’s new film following the critically-acclaimed historical musical drama “Katips” about the lives of youth activists during the Martial Law years.

Here’s a list of the cinemas which started screening Ako si Ninoy on February 22:

ORAS DE PELIGRO

Solar Pictures presents the maiden offering of Bagong Siklab Productions, a film by award-winning director-actor Joel Lamangan with screenwriters Boni Ilagan and Eric Ramos. “Oras de Peligro” is set to premiere in local cinemas nationwide on March 1.

“Oras de Peligro” tells the story of the last few days of the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986 through the lens of an ordinary Filipino family.

The film centers on a family who lives in the slums grappling with the murder of their patriarch at the hands of corrupt policemen, turning from passive victims of social injustice into active participants in the final hours of the People Power uprising.

Oras de Peligro was given an R-13 rating by the MTRCB.
