Filipina Miss Universe winner Gloria Diaz showed the world her queen’s walk as she made a cameo appearance on “Insatiable”, the hit Netflix series now on its second season.
The first Pinay to win the Miss Universe title in 1969 was shown in the Insatiable new season teaser video wearing a white suit, pearl necklace, and big hair as she walked into a hotel lobby followed by an assistant and a hotel attendant with a pile of designer suitcases.
Netflix Philippines posted on Wednesday the clip on social media and captioned it with, “This is how you make an entrance like a queen. So excited for the guest star appearance of Gloria Diaz in Insatiable Season 2.”
The cameo appearance of Gloria Diaz, now a seasoned actress and pageant icon, was first revealed in May.
Insatiable tells the story of teenager Patty Bladell, portrayed by the actress Debby Ryan, who is always being bullied at school because of her size and looks.
Patty Bladell turns to pageantry and reinvents herself into a beauty queen for revenge.
Insatiable first aired in August 2018 and the new Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on October 11, 2019.
Aside from her Netlfix guest appearance and local showbiz projects, Diaz was also reunited with fellow Filipina Miss Universe titleholders Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray in a mural painting of Peterich Chiu Wan at the SM North Artwalk.
Netflix has been streaming movies and series produced and starred by Filipinos since the last quarter of 2018 with films such as critically-acclaimed historical movies Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.
The latest addition to the list of Pinoy movies on Netflix is Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza’s AlDub anniversary movie, “Imagine You and Me.”
