The Philippines’ bet, Hannah Precillas of Bohol, has successfully entered the Grand Finals of Dangdut Academy (D’Academy) Asia 5 in Indonesia after she clinched the Top 3 spot on Friday.

Hannah Precillas is the remaining Filipino and the only female contestant who made it to the finals of one of Indonesia’s biggest and successful singing competitions on TV.

The Boholana singer once again wowed the audience and the judges with her rendition of Indonesian songs “Si Kecil” and “Anak Yang Malang” in the Final Four competition held on December 27.

Now that she has secured her spot in the D’Academy finals, the Kapuso contract artist is set to compete against two contenders: one from the host country, Indonesia, and one from Malaysia.

Here are the remaining Dangdut Academy Asia 5 contestants with their respective scores from the latest episode aired on December 25:

  1. Randa LIDA, Indonesia : 656
  2. Faul LIDA, Indonesia : 654
  3. Hannah Precillas, Philippines : 652
  4. Hegat Haikal, Malaysia : 648

Prior to her stint in Indonesia, Hannah Precillas won the GMA Network’s talent competition ‘Bet ng Bayan’, which paved her way to a career in the local music industry. She also appeared in several Kapuso shows and recorded theme songs for soap operas.

Just this year, Filipinas captured the world’s attention through their award-winning musical prowess and passion for music.

Among them is international musical icon Lea Salonga who sang the 30th Southeast Asian Games theme song ‘We Win As One’.

Another international musical theater star was Rachelle Ann Go who performed ‘Bayan Ko’ during the ceremony in Iowa State Capitol Building to honor the 2019 World Food Prize laureate Simon Groot.

Hollywood singer H.E.R. has received five (5) new Grammy nominations from the Recording Academy this year, the same number of nominations she bagged in the 2018 Grammys.
