Filipina actress Heart Evangelista will star in a series on the popular streaming platform, Netflix.
The world fashion icon and Kapuso artist confirmed she filmed for Netflix when she was asked during a press interview for her Philippine teleserye, I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.
Although Evangelista did not specify the show she will be starring in, talk around the local industry since last year pointed to her possible appearance in the second season of Netflix’s “Bling Empire” reality series after being spotted with cast members Kane Lim and Kelly Mi Li in Los Angeles, California.
Evangelista was also reported to have treated the “Bling Empire” cast and her friends to Filipino food at a Barrio Fiesta branch in the United States.
On the day of the press interview on February 4, 2022, Evangelista also posted her YouTube Channel Episode 2 of Welcome to Heart World: Work and Play in LA which coincidentally shows her again with Kane Lim talking about “the production”. They were photographed wearing the same clothes and in a pose reminiscent of Evangelista’s 2021 Instagram post.
Netflix’s “Bling Empire” is a reality television series that follows the lives of wealthy Asian and Asian Americans in Los Angeles who have been dubbed as real-life “Crazy Rich Asians”, a term popularised by author Kevin Kwan.
“Definitely, I did film for a show in Netflix. Hindi ko alam sa totoo lang kung kailan siya lalabas,” Heart Evangelista was quoted saying in a GMA News report about the station’s artist.
“Kasi with anything abroad siguro, parang ‘di mo siya aasahan, because it’s really destiny for me if you want to achieve anything in Hollywood,” Evangelista added.
