Celebrity racers Troy Montero and Daniel Matsunaga led the winners at the recent Toyota Vios Racing Festival held on August 31 at the Clark International Speedway in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

Both actors, Montero and Matsunaga made podium finishes in the Celebrity Class challenges of the racing circuit, along with fellow celebrities Aubrey Miles and Gretchen Ho.

Troy Montero claimed two first place victories at the Circuit Challenge Celebrity Class.

Daniel Matsunaga took the top spot of the Celebrity Class for Race 6 preventing a sweep by Montero who had to drop out of the race due to an earlier car collision on the tracks. Montero was able to return for the awarding ceremonies after being cleared by a hospital check up.

“Despite the outside damage, the driver’s area was totally untouched. We also have a roll cage, race suit, and helmet, and most especially the HANS (head and neck) device to keep us safe,” Montero assured supporters on Instagram.
