Filipino-American singer H.E.R. is set to perform alongside Hollywood stars Selena Gomez and J Lo in the “VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World” fundraiser which supports the equitable rollout of Covid-19 vaccines around the world.

H.E.R. was among the star-studded lineup of artists announced by international advocacy organization Global Citizen to headline the “VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World”, an upcoming global broadcast and streaming special aimed at getting medical workers inoculated against the novel coronavirus disease as soon as possible.

Grammy winner H.E.R. joins fellow influential musicians and changemakers who are participating in the fundraising event hosted by multi-platinum recording artist Selena Gomez and featuring Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, and J Balvin.

The concert will be pre-taped at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. “VAX LIVE” will also inspire confidence in the Covid-19 vaccine worldwide and raise awareness on vaccine equity in poor nations.

“VAX LIVE aims to increase donations and sharing of vaccine doses to priority populations around the world and will urge philanthropists and corporations to donate enough ‘dollars-for-doses’ to vaccinate the 27 million health workers, on the global front lines in the poorest countries every day, who still need access to vaccines,” Global Citizen wrote on April 13, 2021.

The “VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World” broadcast will air on May 8, 2021. YouTube will also stream the extended version of “VAX LIVE” on Global Citizen’s channel, which will include additional performances and appearances by NCT 127 and YouTube creators.

Fil-Am artist H.E.R. previously performed at the Global Citizen Festival 2019 and has used her platform over the years to advocate for women’s rights, health care equity, and more recently to stop to anti-Asian discrimination and hate crimes happening in the United States.

Grammy winner Gabriella “Gabi” Wilson, better known professionally as H.E.R. (Having Everything Revealed) earlier treated fans to an entertaining video that pays tribute to her Pinoy roots.
