The American-Filipino felt a pull toward cosmetics. After finishing high school, Starrr began working at the neighborhood M.A.C. store and, in 2013, he began posting cosmetics tutorials to YouTube, becoming an early makeup artist creator. His platform accelerated.

Beginning with beauty contour videos on TikTok, Bretman Rock’s journey to influencer popularity began. Since then, he has grown to include funny exercise, food, and fashion videos for his over 20 million TikTok fans. Rock has already gained widespread recognition thanks to his MTV reality series Following: Bretman Rock and its selection as the spokesperson for Nike’s “Be True” Pride campaign in 2021.

In the same year, Rock received the first-ever Breakthrough Social Star honor at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. He also gave the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community a special shout-out in his acceptance speech of the award for the show where he celebrates his Filipino heritage.

In 2019, the beauty vlogger won the E! People’s Choice Awards.

Bretman Rock was previously on the 2018 Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia List of notable disruptors, innovators, and entrepreneurs who are below 30 years of age.

Bella Poarch is the last of the three Filipinos who entered Forbes magazine’s choice of top creators in 2022. This 27-year-old TikTok superstar ranked 29th among the 50 Top Creators included in the Forbes list.

Poarch was honored together with fellow Filipino American music artists Olivia Rodrigo and Bruno Mars in the iHeartRadio Music Awards. She was also the cover star of the first music issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Poarch has agreements with the video game Call of Duty and the upscale fashion business Moncler, making her one of the highest-paid TikTokers in 2021. She was also ranked by Forbes as the 4th highest paid TikTok influencer for the year 2022.

Bella Poarch and Bretman Rock are among the 13 Filipinos who made it to this year’s edition of the Gold House’s annual A100 List of pioneering Asians, Asian-Americans, and Pacific Islanders (APIs) driving the “new gold era” for races.

To be eligible for Forbes’ first-ever list of the most influential people on the Internet, the creator must meet Money, Fame, and Moxie requirements.
